Advancing New York’s Reliable, Affordable,
Carbon-Free Energy Grid

·     We are committed to working with New York State leaders to deliver reliable, affordable, carbon-free power for New Yorkers, with zero-emission nuclear energy as a cornerstone of that strategy.

·     We support the State’s goal of developing at least an additional 5 gigawatts of nuclear energy and establishing an 8.4-gigawatt nuclear reliability backbone, recognizing that nuclear energy provides around-the-clock power, a necessity in New York State, and unlocks the grid capacity needed to integrate more renewable resources.

Delivering on New York's Climate Commitments

·     We maintain that new nuclear generation is essential to achieving New York's Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) goals while maintaining a reliable grid.

·     Expanding New York's nuclear fleet is the fastest, most reliable ways to lower carbon emissions at the scale the CLCPA demands while maintaining grid reliability.

Creating Good, Family-Sustaining Jobs

·     We prioritize New York’s continued economic growth and the creation of family-sustaining jobs within the nuclear industry, which includes a strong workforce training pipeline, as new nuclear construction will bring thousands of additional family-sustaining careers and long-term investment to host communities for decades to come.
